The water assessment will be accomplished through an analysis of the concentration of heavy metals in 1) the core sediment of the county reservoir, 2) the Tug Fork River, 3) residential water heating units and 4) constituent analysis of slurry. A team of university scientists and field researchers has been assembled to conduct this initiative at the highest scientific standards. They have been continually consulting with area citizens on research design and sampling and testing protocols.
